Rookies Cup 2016 Results

Thank you first to Cheryl Amir and Manly-Warringah District Baseball Association for hosting the tournament.

The Manly Warringah teams did well with both Manly Grey & Manly White winning 3 games and 1 draw. They both game top of their pool. Here is some pics of the day and feedback from the parent of players involved.

"The Manly Grey Team won their pool with 3 wins and 1 draw. The team played exceptionally well with multiple double plays and spectacular catches. While some teams had over the boundary home runs, the grey team remained consistent in their batting and eventually wore other teams down."

"Wil has absolutely loved being part of the rookie cup. He has learnt so much in the short lead up. Neil Giordano and Richard Lorenzo were fantastic coaches. His team Manly White won 3 games and had 1 draw. All up our team won our pool. This was an awesome tournament to watch (as a first time parents experience). The level was top class from the players. Thank you."

"It was a great bunch of parents and kids and the coaches were amazing. All the parents helped out either setting up or in the Canteen or BBQ.  We had some fantastic moments of catches out in the field, a couple of double outs, fantastic base running and wonderful sportsmanship behaviour.”

Will Braund (Braundy) was lucky enough to be picked from the whole team and presented with a baseball on the day by his coach Brook for being a great player on the day fielding/ batting/ attention / listening and good sportsmanship and Brook also mentioned his attendance and enthusiasm at training…  Will was over the moon.
